The story of the atrocities carried out by Atahualpa's generals in the field and relatives Yahuarpampa against Huascar,-women, children, elderly-, hanged, drowned, killed by starvation, is a grim truth. The end of the Inca Empire was enacted not by the empty office of the oracles, but by the abandonment of the essential rules of humanity and moral severity, and the traditional forces that had made the greatness of the Inca culture. ________________________________________
