arms spending in Latin America increased 151% in five years

According to the document Brazil topped the list of Latin American countries spent on defense over the past year, with 27,780 million in 2009. Followed Colombia (10,070 million) and Chile (5230 million) on the podium Argentina came in fifth place with 2,220 million in 2009.
